SainT is an Atari ST emulator for the PC. It works under Win9x through to WinXP. It is mainly dedicated to demos, but of course games also work good with SainT.
Features
SainT is distinguishiable from STeem, the other major ST emulator available, in two regards. Firstly, the focus of the emulation accuracy is on the original ST chipset (as opposed to STeem focus on the STE, and consequently it is able to run many demos that do not run the the STE or STeem. Secondly, there is the high level of quality of sound output thanks to the considerable effort that has been invested in accurate emulation of the YM synthesizer. To complete the "demo nostalgia experience", SainT even provides floppy disk drive sounds to simulate the spinning motor.
Other features include
- The ability to record videos
- 32bit colour full-screen rendering mode
