ST Sonic Editor licensed by Sonus Corporation was introduced 1987. It is a Sample Editor with a twist, allowing editing purely of the Ensoniq Mirage's parameters via MIDI from your Atari ST. Essentially ST Sonic Editor does not allow the editing of digital audio, but allows editing of sample data via MIDI. It was the first Sample Editor for the popular Ensoniq Mirage, offering amongst other features, FM synthesis editing. It is capable of handling the Mirage's 8-bit samples, up to it's Sample Rate of 32 kHz.
