Silver, I see you're doing a lot of work pulling in templates from wikipedia ;-) Good job! Templates are something I see as really improving the quality of lots of articles.

I have to ask you how much you intend to use Template:Infobox VG to record information for game articles in this wiki? It seems to me that Atari legend and LGD games database document games very well and I've avoided duplicating that effort here. What are your thoughts on this? --

Actually I didn't think much about AL or LGD while adding that page but you raise a valid question here. When thinking about it a bit I realise that I think it is not a bad idea at all! I mean both AL & LGD has some pretty obvious limitations that this wiki software doesn't have. Here you can just click the edit button and change/add whatever you want. LGD/AL don't have that kind of functionality and is unlikely to have that kind of feature in the future(can't be entirely certain but I guess) so on here all sorts of information can be added without any coding knowledge whatsoever while on AL you'd need to be able to add sql tables and recode parts of the php whenever you want to add a new type of information.

In the end the information gathered in the wiki could be used as a resource for sites such as LGD, AL and GOTP.

Well that is my thoughts at least. --Silver Surfer 11:15, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
