Sound Merlin by Tommy Software is believed to have been conceived in 1989. It is beautifully designed 8-bit mono Sampler programmed by Jörg Tochtenhagen, capable of sampling frequencies of up to 50 kHz. Again a Sampler where the hardware ADC plugged into the Atari's parallel port, and perhaps the natural companion to Sound Machine. Sound Merlin's main features are accessed via the Sampling, Keyboard, Sequencer, Drum Computer, Manipulate and Fine Editor windows.
