Sound Merlin by Tommy Software is believed to have been conceived in 1989. It is beautifully designed 8-bit mono Sampler programmed by Jörg Tochtenhagen, capable of sampling frequencies of up to 50 kHz. Again a Sampler where the hardware ADC plugged into the Atari's parallel port, and perhaps the natural companion to Sound Machine.
